Above are the palm-carrying camels, and a woman teasing her son by offering to sell him to us! This is the sweet potato vendor and his cart, with Gail looking on hungrily.
I'm a recently retired communications writer with a background in graphic design and an obsessive love of horses...all of which I hope to integrate into whatever this new, out-of-the-nine-to-five world brings me. I'm celebrating this recent life change by traveling to Egypt to ride horses with my best friend Gail in February, 2010. I've never seen a desert, and although she'll be with me, Gail never will. She is blind. We've ridden our own horses together for nearly 18 years and from her I have learned that most limitations are a matter of one's own perception.
I have a husband, a son, a daughter-in-law, two grandsons, two stepsons, two daughters-out-law, a horse, a mule, a Labrador Retriever and Maine Coon cat.
I see Gail and the cart but the vendor must be really small cause I can't seem to pick him out. And look at the size of those potatos!
